NIT Season Tip-Off began today. The biggest upset was Loyola (IL) beating Georgia. The 2nd round matchups look like this:
Purdue v. Loyola (IL)
Boston College v. St. John's
Davidson v. Oklahoma (First Top 25 matchup of the year!)
Arizona v. UAB
other than those games, Marquette and Villanova both rolled in their games. UConn-Hartford was close at the half but UConn took off at the end and won easily. Georgetown toyed with Jacksonville for a while before finally putting them away. Missouri and Oklahoma State both won big, while Virginia Tech won a close one over Mt. St. Mary's. And Memphis-UMass is currently going on, although it's not much of a game so far (both teams shot under 33% in the first half!). St. Mary's plays tomorrow morning at 2 AM
